Robert de Wilde

Robert de Wilde is an MfN Mediator based in Amsterdam, specializing in business mediation. Robert de Wilde is a registered MfN mediator, former corporate attorney (Amsterdam and the Dutch Antilles), legal counsel, and executive coach, based in Amsterdam.

He specializes in business mediation and conflicts within organizations. Before becoming a mediator, Robert worked for over twenty years as an attorney and corporate legal counsel in international (Finance and Tech) business environments. His work involved negotiations, complex commercial matters, and resolving and preventing disputes. He brings that background into his work as a mediator. Robert understands the legal and commercial context of a conflict, but also looks at what's happening between people: interests, trust, communication, leadership, and working relationships.

He guides conflicts between entrepreneurs, founders, shareholders, investors, directors, executives, and business partners, among others, as well as employment and collaboration conflicts within organizations. Throughout his career, Robert worked as an independent legal counsel for more than 25 corporate multinationals and Dutch technology and IT companies. In 2017 he was nominated Dutch independent legal counsel of the year (DILA).

As a mediator, Robert does not take sides and does not provide legal advice. He creates an independent and confidential environment in which parties can discuss the real causes of a conflict and explore what's needed to move forward - together or separately. Robert works in Dutch and English, in Amsterdam, throughout the Netherlands, and online for international clients. Robert lives and works in the centre of Amsterdam.
